This work visualizes Scorpio’s painful process of self-censorship while attempting to write a humble apology to the ‘inferior’ zodiac signs. On screen, an inherent sense of superiority and intensely honest inner thoughts are typed out without restraint, only to be immediately erased with the backspace key and replaced by a false politeness meant to protect the fragile egos of others.
Yet these deleted thoughts never fully disappear. The truths that remain unspoken within the video eventually emerge as handwritten phrases along the frame of the TV, crossing the boundary of the screen and intruding onto the physical object itself. The work reveals that Scorpio is the greatest sign because even our humility is, ultimately, an act of merciful performance.
