Within the fixed spatial limits of a small-theater stage, video and lighting functioned not simply as background, but as devices that expanded the psychological space of memory and emotion shared by the two Yujins. In particular, the animated imagery on screen visualized younger Yujin’s nightmares and trauma, giving concrete stage form to an inner experience that is difficult to express through language alone. The media design also enabled fluid transitions between locations such as home, school, the street, and the seaside with minimal physical scenery. As a result, video operated not only as representation, but as a dramaturgical language that shaped the work’s emotional structure and the process of trauma and recovery.
